North Carolina Retirement Community is an accredited, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community that attracts active, independent residents from across the country.
We have provided a retirement community close to town, where older adults can take advantage of the area’s educational, cultural and medical resources. With vision, drive and passion, we tirelessly pursued the feasibility studies, land, money and certification needed to start this retirement community.
At North Carolina Retirement Community, our goal is to provide a safe, healthful, and secure environment for persons throughout their later years, as well as to engage in cooperative research, development, and education in areas encompassed by geriatrics. We will encourage diversity, residents’ leadership, participation in and service to the larger community. We will also foster a high quality work experience for staff and facilitate staff development that embodies the values and mission of the organization.
North Carolina Retirement Community aspires to a non-medical model of care for its residents, focusing on an appreciation of the life work of each resident and attention to each resident’s sense of purpose and enjoyment of life. In addition, we offer quality medical practice, social work, and nursing care as touchstones of our service agreement and practice. We attempt to integrate the medical care of our residents with their non-medical needs in an unobtrusive way.
